We are grateful for the support and contributions of our Community Advisory Board members and their respective organizations and our Promotora Advisory Board.
The CAB members and the Promotora Advisors helped guide the unfolding of the TWS work. Together, the interdisciplinary, multicultural, bilingual CAB team provided invaluable insights and recommendations throughout every aspect of the NIMHD SBIR study (Phase I & II).
The CAB team assisted in the planning activities, designing and testing the data collection instruments, as well as supporting study logistics and participant recruitment. They also helped interpret the findings and formulate recommendations and 'next steps.'
Settings Represented
Community-based organizations, federal community health centers, state health departments, public safety net providers, academic, and hospital-based programs.
Phase I Promotora Community Advisory Board
We want to thank the 22 promotoras who served as members of our Community Advisory Board in Phase I and El Pueblo, Inc. for their support and coordination efforts.*
* Due to time constraints and considerations related to cultural and language differences, we convened 2 'CAB' meetings in the community, in Spanish, with the promotoras. The promotoras' input was summarized, translated into English, and shared with the other CAB and research team members.
